Background

Chris joined Fleming, Perry & Cox, Inc. in 1997. Fleming, Perry & Cox, Inc. was acquired by Webster Financial Corporation in 2002. In 2015, Fleming, Perry & Cox, Inc. was renamed Webster Wealth Advisors, Inc. Chris works with individual clients through every phase of the financial planning process to discern life objectives, present multiple strategies, and develop implementation plans that help clients to reach their personal goals. He also oversees portfolio modeling and investment selection with an eye towards tax, cash flow and legacy planning for clients nearing or in retirement.  

Chris is a Senior Vice President, Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer of Webster Wealth Advisors, Inc. As an investment adviser representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, he holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations as well as life, health, accident, and variable insurance licenses.  

Chris is very active in his local and broader community. He has served St. Matthew's Episcopal Church as Senior Warden, Vestry member and numerous committee chairs for the past 25+ years. Chris has served Camp Dudley for nearly 20 years as Chair of their Foundation Board as well as on the camp’s Board of Trustees as Treasurer and Chairs of Finance, Investment, BDN, Development and several search committees. While his sons, both Eagle Scouts, were active in scouting, Chris served as Treasurer (Troops 20 and 125) as well as Fundraising Chair (Pack 22 and Troop 125). He continues to serve as an advisor and Chair of the Wilton Student Financial Aid Committee. Chris is an alum of the Kent School and he is a former member of the Board of Trustees and past president of their Alumni Assoc.

Chris was born and raised in Wilton, Connecticut. He and his wife, Alison, reside in Wilton with their sons, Endy and Sam, and daughter, Amanda. Chris enjoys spending his free time with his family, serving as a mentor and coach in various youth programs, playing all sports (particularly golf and softball), traveling, going to movies, and participating in his local community.

William E. Rath

Background

Bill Rath is a Senior Managing Director responsible for managing client relationships and leading growth initiatives.  Bill has over 25 years of capital markets experience, providing tailored investment and credit solutions to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional clients.  Bill joined Webster Private Bank in 2018 and transitioned to his current role with Webster Wealth Advisors in 2021.  Prior to Webster he worked for HSBC in several roles for over 22 years. Most recently, Bill was Head of Investment Counselling at HSBC Private Banking USA in New York. In this position, Bill led a team of investment advisors responsible for delivering wealth planning and customized portfolio solutions to domestic and international clients from offices located in New York, Miami, Beverly Hills and San Francisco. Bill led advisory efforts to create bespoke solutions for individual and corporate clients.  Prior to this role, Bill was Head of Client Directed Trading in Miami, FL responsible for establishing and leading a cross-asset sales and execution team covering international equities, developed and emerging markets fixed income, structured notes, foreign exchange and precious metals. In this role, Bill worked closely with advisors and clients in portfolio construction, positioning tactical investments and expanding capital markets capabilities throughout the Americas. Prior to joining HSBC Private Banking, Bill was Head of Direct Market Access & Execution Trading, Equities for HSBC Global Markets, and had several other roles in Retail Banking & Wealth Management. Before joining HSBC, Bill worked as an Associate Broker for Prudential Securities, and Lehman Brothers in New York. Bill graduated from Wittenberg University with a BA in Economics and East Asian studies, and completed an international studies program at Tokyo International University.  Bill, his wife Nicole, and their four sons reside in Wilton, Connecticut.
