History

More Than 60 Years of Combined Financial Planning Experience

The current principals of Webster Wealth Advisors have more than 50 years of combined experience in the financial planning business. Many of our clients have been with the firm since its inception.

The predecessor firm to Fleming, Reyea, & Cox was founded in 1987 by Joe Cox and Dick Fleming. Joe and Dick began their careers in financial planning at CIGNA Individual Financial Services in 1983. With a passion for their work and a commitment to always putting their client's best interests first, Joe and Dick founded a new firm focused on comprehensive financial planning for high-net-worth individuals and families.

The firm was very successful, and the staff and number of clients grew dramatically. Chris Perry joined the firm in 1997. In 2000, Joe and Dick decided to spend more time focusing on client's financial issues and less time on managing a growing firm, so they reorganized the original firm and, along with Chris, formed Fleming, Perry, & Cox in Norwalk, Connecticut.

In 2002, the firm was acquired by Webster Financial Corporation, and the firm moved back to Stamford at that time. Dick Fleming retired in early 2007.

Fleming, Perry & Cox changed it's name to Webster Wealth Advisors in 2015.

Webster Wealth Advisors continues to provide outstanding comprehensive financial planning services to all our clients, just as we have done since the firm was founded more than 20 years ago.
